US Health Regulators Lifts Pause on Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

US health regulators have finally lifted the 11-day pause on the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Covid- 19 vaccine. The lift comes with a notification; this warning is to create awareness that it can cause extremely rare blood clots.

The rollout of the drug in the US will be continued after it was approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Almost eight million people receive the dose of the vaccine, and a recorded figure of 15 suffered from the dangerous blood cut.

Europe’s drug regulator also put an end to restrictions on the J&J vaccine.

European regulators noticed and found out that the highly rare blood clots to the AstraZeneca Covid-19 shot, but it was later discovered that the advantages of the drug outclassed its risks

Last Friday afternoon, the CDC and Food and Drug Administration carefully respond to the warning of the CDC advisory panel after the voting section to proceed with the rolling out of the vaccine for 18 years of age and older finish with 10-4  in line with its initial authorization.

This conclusion means that almost 10 million of the J&J vaccine will be shipped from its base in the Netherlands with immediate actions on its deployment to the US.

The health officials reported nine more cases of the rare blood clots on Friday; this makes it to be a total of 15 cases identified after the regulators first approved the jab as safe and effective in February.

The cases of this implication reported were women; most of them were under 50. Only seven remain in the hospital after 3. We’re declared dead.

CDC officials who present the data on Friday further explained that a few cases of blood clots on men were undergoing review too.

The official explained that it was vital for women to be aware of the vaccine’s potential risks so they might know if to take it or not.

Dr. Sarah Long, of Drexel University College of Medicine, was one of the panel members that voted against the proposal who voted against the recommendation because she thought the awareness is not enough.

“This is an age group that is most at risk [of the blood clot] that is getting vaccine predominantly to save other peoples’ lives and morbidity, not their own,” she told AP news agency. “And I think we have a responsibility to be certain that they know this.”

The USA will start the importation of the J&J covid-19 jab as soon as possible.
