
Before the declaration of Joe Biden as the President-elect of the United States, a stream of world leaders celebrated with him and his vice, Kamala Harris, for emerging the winner of the presidential race in the US election.
As the jubilation of the victory was ongoing after the winner of the US election had been declared, Canadian President Justin Trudeau celebrated with Biden and Kamala in a tweet as he emphasized the close relationship between Canada and the US.
“Congratulations Joe Biden and Kamala Harris,” Trudeau tweeted. “Our two countries are close friends, partners and allies. We share a relationship that’s unique on the world stage.”
However, he said he looks forward to working with Biden and Kamala when they resume the office and build on the existing relationship with them.
European leaders were not left out as they also celebrated with the President-elect. Immediately after the US election results emerge, the Irish prime minister congratulated Biden in a tweet, referring to him as Irish-American heritage.
“Joe Biden has been a true friend of this nation throughout his life and I look forward to working with him in the years ahead. I also look forward to welcoming him back home when the circumstances allow!” Martin revealed in a congratulating tweet to Biden.
Another Irish politician, Simon Coveney, the health minister, said in a tweet that the country’s government looked “forward to working with a (Biden/Harris) presidency to sustain & strengthen Irish American relations, and so much more.”
Australian prime minister released a statement whereby he described the President-elect in the US election as a great friend of Australia over the years. However, he revealed his confidence in Biden by noting that he would step into the role of combating the pandemic at this crucial time.
French politicians also joined in congratulating Biden as the President-elect of the United States. The President, Emmanuel Macron, said in a tweet, “The Americans have chosen their President. We have a lot to do to overcome today’s challenges. Let’s work together!”
A stream of African leaders also congratulated Joe Biden on his victory in the US presidential race. Nigeria’s leader believes that “His election is a reminder that democracy is the best form of government because it offers the people the opportunity to change their government by peaceful means.” While Kenyan President believes that he’s a friend to their economy.
