The race to the White House is still ongoing between the two presidential candidates for the 2020 US election, President Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

As it appears to be, the formal vice president, Joe Biden, is currently leading in key states and could eventually emerge winner of the long race poll.

The Guardian earlier reports that Biden leads the electoral college vote tally 264-214 after being declared the winner in Michigan and Wisconsin on Wednesday. At the same time, President Donald Trump gained one vote in Maine. Adding Alaska for Trump – which had not been called but where the result is not in doubt – gives the president 217.

According to several US election reports, it shows that the Democrat candidate is moving closer to victory as he could eventually be declared the winner after all the votes have been counted.

As the counting of the votes is ongoing, the president appeared to be in tension about the results. Consequently, he has been making accusations about election fraud, which he claims is happening in some parts of the country.

According to a CNN report, Mr. Trump and his allies have been bombarding Americans with false claims about the presidential election — baselessly asserting for the second day in a row that Democrats were attempting to rig the election in favor of his rival.

Earlier on Thursday, the president son, Donald Trump Jr, lashed out at prospective Republican 2024 presidential candidates. He implied that if they wanted to contest in 2024, they should stand for his father now and speak up. He further accused the party of being weak.

“The total lack of action from virtually all of the “2024 GOP hopefuls” is pretty amazing. “They have a perfect platform to show that they’re willing & able to fight but they will cower to the media mob instead,” He tweeted.

President Trump later spoke from the White House in the evening, where he made accusations about election fraud, electronic rigging, and illegal votes. “If you count the legal votes, I easily win. If you count the illegal votes, they can try to steal the election from us.” Donald Trump tweeted.

According to the new statesman, the president failed to provide any proven evidence for any of his accusations about the election fraud in the US Election.

Mr trump allies also suggested on television that Pennsydo-over should enact a “do-over” and that those electors meant to represent their state’s choice in the Electoral College vote for Trump anyway.
