TikTok’s Silhouette Challenge: Silhouette Is Coming Again

Silhouette challenge comes after a very debatable challenge, which was called the “buzz it – challenge” which trended mostly on Twitter which was perpetrated in such a way that ladies twerk in the videos, in a traditional and then in a seducing way.

Silhouette challenge gains its fame on social media after a considerable amount of female tik-to users deemed it fit for them to storm Twitter with videos of their nearly or clothes shadows while playing Paul Anka, 1959, ‘Put your head on my shoulder‘ song.

Several females worldwide were seen pacing seductively in front of a door, while some were seen in front of a frame, following the sequence from the song. It was unique because most videos switch their background from normal to red/black or blue/black silhouette at the point the songwriter says ‘put your head on my shoulder’ adding more spice to the already flavoured video.

However, most of the silhouettes video turns to clothes or nearly clothes shadows after the background switch. It doesn’t stop it from being controversial and generating appraisal and derogatory remarks from people who chose to say about the viral challenge.

The challenge attracted the attention of religious leaders, who expectedly go against it, with some set of people calling it demonic and another clique calling to ladies involve to respect their bodies, it has also been tag an ‘a shameful challenge’ by people who find it so immoral and at the same time shameful, but at some ends from both male and female social media users, they find the silhouette challenge plausible as they expressed in their words that it shows liberty and not only it shows women are breaking from their cage, they are breaching limits too.

Twitter users are the largest recipient of these videos as the site witnesses millions of users streaming the videos repeatedly which comes at a huge gain for them in thousands of millions with the Canadian-American songwriter and actor, Paul Anka’s song ‘put your head on my shoulder’ getting more and more attention on youtube after reaching the 62 million views mark.

The social media space is used to witness many challenges with recently concluded ‘Buzz it challenges‘ and the ongoing ‘silhouette challenge’. The internet users made it known to the world to expect more of these blockbuster challenges 2021 unfolds.
