Selena Gomez delivers a heartwarming message to all the immigrant students

Beautiful and gorgeous actress and singer Selena Gomez has managed to gather name and fame once again recently, as her latest work “Rare” music album was released worldwide. In the COVID-19 pandemic, the actress has never backed down to do charity works, be it any donation, charity concerts, or anything else. So this time, Selena has shared a heartwarming message to all the students of immigrant families.

The incident took place at Immigrad 2020 Virtual Commencement. Since everything was virtual and online, the cute singer shot a video, where she delivered her stunning speech or a message. Going into deep about the commencement, this event was hosted by Define American, FWD.us, United We Dream, I am An Immigrant and Golden Door Scholars. It was actually a national celebration of students, who belong to immigrant families as well as supporters of immigrant rights from several colleges and schools.

Selena started her speech with “Congratulations to all of the immigrads!,”. Then she continued to say: “I know that this is a virtual ceremony, but it’s very real, and it’s very real to all of the families and all of you and your communities. I want you guys to know that you matter and that your experiences are a huge part of the American story. When my family came here from Mexico, they set into motion my American story as well as theirs. I’m a proud, third-generation American-Mexican, and my family’s journeys and their sacrifice helped me get me to where I am today. Mine is not a unique story. Each and every one of you have a unique tale of becoming an American, so regardless of where your family is fun, regardless of your immigration status, you have taken action to earn an education to make your families proud and to open up your worlds. So I’m sending all of my love to you guys today, and congratulations and I hope you guys are set off to be everything that you want to be.”

Since this event was hosted by Define American, they took the video on the internet and shared it on YouTube on their official channel. The caption said: “Selena Gomez has a message for the graduating class of 2020, especially for our Define American immigrads. Commencement is an important milestone for everyone pursuing an education, but it often has a special significance for immigrant graduates. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, many graduations ceremonies had to be cancelled this year. To honor all of the graduating seniors, and especially our 202 Define American chapters graduates, Selena Gomez shared this heartfelt message. Congratulations to the class of 2020!”
