Famous F1 racer Sebastian Vettel recently broke his silence on where he places Lewis Hamilton as a racer. The popular racer recently revealed that Lewis will never be his hero. But he is still happy for all the milestones that Lewis has managed to achieve over the course of his career. Sebastian Vettel recently announced that he will be driving for Aston Martin in the coming year 2021. This move came after Scuderia Ferrari’s reluctance to renew a contract with the German early this year, followed by months of speculation regarding his destination.
Interesting revelations from Sebastian
During an interview, Vettel was asked about his thoughts regarding Lewis Hamilton’s upward trajectory. To everyone’s shock, he announced that:
“It’s a shame, On the one hand, It’s very simple for him but he worked hard to be in that position,” said the 4-time World Champion.
In addition to that, he also mentioned that he was happy for Lewis despite not considering him a ‘hero’.
“He deserves all the successes, but Lewis will never be my hero,” said the German. “That will be Schumi forever. I’m happy for Hamilton anyway.”

A little about Hamilton
Hamilton has been ruling the F1 racing tracks since the year 2014. The year 2016 was the only season where Lewis lost to his teammate. But since then, no driver managed to pick the fight to Lewis and usurp him. The shocking statements do not end here. As he continued, he also mentioned that he was happy for Lewis despite not considering him a ‘hero’.
The revelations from Sebastian continue
“He deserves all the successes, but Lewis will never be my hero,” said the German. “That will be Schumi forever. I’m happy for Hamilton anyway.”
As the revealing session continued, Sebastian Vettel revealed that he is not upset about not winning any championships since his rampage with Red Bull. Ferrari struggled to keep up with Mercedes over the course of the last three seasons.
“Not really sad, there was great hope and conviction. We came close, but never really close,” said Vettel.
Vettel mentioned that his team was hoping to dominate the grid, but that dream never really materialized.
“It’s a shame, we wanted to win in a dominant way and we didn’t,” said the German.
“We envy a bit like Mercedes, but there are always reasons why things happen. I’ve tried them all, it wasn’t easy.”

A final word
It is still not clear whether the fans saw that coming or not. Since the F1 racing world is totally different from other sports, there are always a lot of amazing things going on. Keeping the upcoming events in mind, it is safe to say that these actions might be a publicity stunt to gain some traction. If Vettel and Hamilton fail to receive heat prior to any huge event, that event is more likely to fail. In addition to that, both the racers are veterans and aren’t new in any manner. It’s really easy for people like those veteran racers to deliver some interesting stuff before any upcoming events. For now, it’s best for the fans to carry on, and not take these messages personally or much seriously. Only time will tell whether it was all just a stunt or was it in real.
