19-year-old college student Saniyya Dennis is missing since last week and the search investigation is underway. She was last seen in the elevator of her dorm on SUNY Buffalo state college campus on 24 April 2021 at 11 p.m. Fortunately, the police traced her cell phone near Goat Island in Niagara Falls which is located about 20 miles north of campus.
Search Investigation Continues
The University Police Department started working with local, state, and federal authorities in her search. Saniyya has neither been in touch with her family members nor any transactions have been made on any of her financial accounts.
Furthermore, the University Police Chief Peter said:
our one and only goal in this investigation is to find her
He then continued to say:
understandably, emotions are high right now, but I want to clear that our department will not rest until Saniyya is found.

Revelations From The Search Investigation
The police have shared the details of her appearance. Dennis, a Bronx native, is 5 foot 3 inches tall and weighs 125 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes.
Peter Carey said,
I understand the desire for new detail about this case is high, but to ensure the integrity of this multi-agency investigation, we are limited in our ability to share further information at this time.
Now the local activists are assisting the search investigation by passing out flyers throughout neighborhoods and businesses across Western New York. Julia Steven, who is one of the members of the Allies group for Black Justice said:
local activists are out here every day as soon as they got into town.
She continued:
They have been out here every single day looking for their missing daughter. They are now more focused on finding her.
Statements Issued
University Police is asking anyone with the information regarding her to come forward and help assist the search investigation. A report suggests:
Her family is offering a $10000 reward for any information that helps located her.
Katherine Conway Turner who is the president of Buffalo state college issued a statement in support of Dennis’s family.
She said that:
I have had an distinct pleasure of meeting Saniyya — a lovely young woman, honors student, and mechanical engineering technology major with a bright future ahead.

She also said;
“My heart goes out to Saniyyas family, whom we continue to support during this painful time”.
Saniyyas sister, Keyora Dennis said:
This is not like her. This is not of her nature”. My mother always says she’s a creature of habit… When she comes to visit my mother in the city or comes to visit our family she lets her know when she’s running late or lets her know who she’s going to be with, what time she expects to be home.
Buffalo State Police later said that it obtained surveillance footage of Saniyya at the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) bus terminal in downtown Buffalo. Unfortunately, that video has not been made public.
Conclusion
The search investigation is still in progress. People are still up with their hopes and now it’s up to the State police to find the girl by any means necessary. Stay tuned to fameaside for more information.
