Meghan Markle is making headlines once again. This time for the recent deal she inked with Disney. It was reported by The Times U.K. that the Duchess of Sussex recently did a voiceover for the Mouse House. The deal was said to be done in exchange for a charitable donation to a cause near and dear to her heart, Elephant without Borders.
This comes on the heels of a shocking announcement made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. On Wednesday Meghan and Prince Harry announced that they would be taking a step back as senior members of the Royal family. While it was announced the couple would still be doing their Royal duty abroad in service to the Queen, the Duke and Duchess have made it abundantly clear that they intend to split their time between the U.S and U.K. Their goal according to SussexRoyal.com is to become financially independent.
According to reports, the Royal Family had no advance notice of this announcement. Reportedly everyone is scrambling to come up with a workable solution. This bombshell comes after years of brutal treatment by the U.K. press towards Meghan. In a recently documentary the Duchess opened up about her silent struggles as a Royal public figure.
This decision has been met with a lot of backlash from the press. Many headlines have insinuated the couple have “throwing in the towel”, and “abandoned their duties”. However, many supporters seem to have a different view. A large number of their fans and supporters have come out in support of the bold decision. Some praising the Duchess’s strength in lasting as long as she has considering the circumstances. Others have commended Prince Harry for protecting his family from the racism and double standards of the press.
The Queen is said to have called a meeting for Monday with the male members of the Royal Family. The Duchess and baby Archie have flown back to Canada ahead of the announcement.
Great news I will be following their success they can do it
