Meghan and Harry Welcome Baby Girl, Lilibet Diana

Meghan and Harry announced the birth of their newly born daughter, the announcement was made by the Duchess of Sussex herself, Meghan and Prince Harry in a statement on Sunday.

As it was written in the statement “It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world”.

Born on  Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. right into the arms of reliable and warming care if doctors and staff at Santa Barbara cottage Hospital. “It said, adding that the new arrival weighed in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces (3.49 kilos) and that “both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home”

Moreso, the statement added that the newly born, “Lili” is named after her grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen, whose family nickname is Lilibet. In order to honor her beloved late grandmother, her middle name was chosen to be “Diana”,  The princess of Wales.

 Archie Harrison, the 2 -year -old son of the couple now has a baby sister Lili.

Meghan and Harry, appeared to be really excited saying they had been blessed by their daughter’s arrival in a message on their Archewell foundation website. “She is more than we could have ever imagined and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this special time for our family”.

As released by Buckingham palace, on Sunday on the baby girl’s birth, ” The Queen ,The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex”, it read.

Being a huge congratulatory grandeur, The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tweeted their congratulatory message. Not only them, including the US Embassy in London, also joined in congratulating the Sussexes , mentioning that the news came at the time of Father’s day. Oh what a ‘Feeling of joy’.

The couples brought it to our notice that they made mention of it in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, broadcast in March, saying they were ultimately expecting a girl.

The new born is the eight in line successor to the throne  behind her grandfather Charles, Uncle Willam, his three children (George , Charlotte and Louis),her father Harry and her big brother Archie. She also stands to be the Queen’s 11th great-grandchild. Her being born overseas had made her the most senior royal in the line of succession not only that, the advantage of her having a dual citizenship US-UK. She is of a greater validity if she goes on to be US president alongside in line to the British throne.

The couples kept the pregnancy as private as it should be, and only let out news countlessly about the impending arrival of their daughter. One of which was the occasion of a pre-recorded message from Meghan  during the recent Vax  Live concert in May, which she and Harry partooked in.

“My husband and I are thrilled to soon be welcoming a daughter — it’s a feeling of joy we share with millions of other families around the world, “as spoken by the Duchess as she mentioned to the audience at the event, tagged for the promotion of the covid-19 vaccine equity and gender equality.

“When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and support to lead us forward,” she said. “Their future leadership depends on the decisions we make, and the actions we take now to set them up, and set all of us up, for a successful, equitable, and compassionate tomorrow.”
