Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s Controversy Over Custody of Their Children and Marital Assets Amid Divorce

The 33yr old TV star has declared her husband’s intentions to withhold funds, and their marital assets as their divorce turn bitter.

Kristin Cavallari was the first to declare their happy marriage was coming to an end on her Instagram post on Wednesday. She further stated the reason for the separation was due to ‘irreconcilable’ differences. The divorce has become a controversy between the reality star and her estranged husband, Jay Cutler.

However, her husband was the first to file a divorce on 21 April. The retired NFL player and his estranged wife had an agreement on schedules for spending parenting time with their three lovely kids.

Their kids are 7-year-old boy Camden, 5-year-old boy Jaxon, and 4-year-old girl Saylor. At the time of this schedule, both of them took turns, staying at a friend’s place if they were not with the kids.

Kristin Cavallari went on to explain that the animosity began after they returned from their family vacation in the Bahamas; they have been trying to stay under the same roof despite their differences. The reality star claims the toxic atmosphere is affecting the wellbeing of their children.

Cavallari claims her soon to be divorced husband seems oblivious to picking fights with her in the presence of the children. A legal battle has already started concerning who will be the primary custodian of their children.

Cavallari claimed to have been looking for a house to relocate to when things got out of hand. However, Cutler who was aware at the time showed no reaction. Despite their differences, they decided to try one more time, to salvage what is left of their marriage.

The situation of their marriage seems irredeemable according to them, and also, their 10yrs marriage has been getting worse for the past few years now, as confirmed by the couple. Cavallari and Cutler had to stay under the same roof when the lockdown was extended, but it doesn’t look good for both of them right now.

The TV star went on to explain that her estranged husband has been trying to thwart her plans to get a new apartment. Cavallari said a new home would provide an atmosphere conducive for her children. Still, her husband is trying to punish her pending the legal declaration of the primary custodian of their children.

Cutler has decided to withhold funds from her because she has refused to accept the settlement he offered amid the divorce. Cutler had explicitly warned her that he would tell his attorney to give instructions to their business manager not to release the funds needed for her to get a new home. Access to their funds will be granted only if she accepts his custody plan and parenting schedule, Cavallari stated.

The mother of three has declared her opinion to the court by stating that she ” is not attempting to infringe on [her] husband’s financial assets to purchase the home. Her claim is for the Court to make a partial distribution to her so that she may purchase another residence.”

Cavallari further explained that her major concern was her children’s emotional well being. Furthermore, it is not healthy for children to witness such hostility between parents.
