‘Powerless’ Kim Kardashian Breaks Silence On Kanye West’s Mental Health

Kim Kardashian has finally broken her silence as fears over 43-year-old husband Kanye West spike. The “Ye” rapper, openly bi-polar, has been sparking mental health concerns since his July 4 presidential run announcement – July 18, meanwhile, brought the Yeezy designer sobbing, seemingly-erratic, and publicly breaking down at his South Carolina presidential rally.

Tuesday night delivered a series of now-deleted tweets from West. The rapper alluded to Michael Jackson having been murdered, called his 39-year-old wife and her mother Kris Jenner white supremacists, and stated that he’d been “trying” to divorce 2014-married Kim since she met with rapper Meek Mill in 2018 for a prison reform event. West’s rally breakdown had also seen KKW Beauty founder Kim reach #1 slot on Twitter trends after her husband publicly exposed her having considered aborting now 7-year-old daughter North.

Kim took to Instagram on Wednesday with a lengthy series of stories addressing the situation.

“As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows know incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand.”

“I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of my children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health,” she added, continuing that “today,” she felt that she should comment “because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”

Kanye has, in the past, referred to his bi-polar disorder as a “super power.”

Kim, who shares four children with Kanye, continued:

“Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behaviour know that the family is powerless unless the person is a minor.”

Kanye’s Tuesday night tweets had suggested that Kim and Kris Jenner were attempting to have him hospitalized. Prior to this, West had also spoken of the family trying to “lock him up,” also claiming that matriarch Jenner is no longer allowed around his four children: North, 7, Saint, 4, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 14 months.

Kim’s post also touched on West having lost his mother due to complications following weight-loss surgery.

“He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a black man, who experienced the personal loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is highlighted by his bipolar disorder.”

The Kardashian-West marriage is reportedly on the rocks with the couple living apart. Following his rally in South Carolina, West flew back to his $14 million Wyoming Ranch.

Wealth was also addressed in the rapper’s removed tweets as he stated being worth “$5 billion” – Kanye was unveiled as having a net worth of $1.3 billion earlier this year by Forbes. He criticized the media outlet, saying that nobody at Forbes “could count.”

Kardashian-West also wrote: “I understand Kanye is subject to criticism because he is a public figure and is actions at times can cause strong opinions and emotions” before requesting that the media grant the family privacy and respect “so we can get through this.”

West, publicly humiliated after his rally and critiqued for stating that abolitionist Harriet Tubman “never really freed the slaves” also faced immense backlash for having aired Kim’s dirty laundry with regards to her alleged plans to abort first-born daughter North.
