Harry, Meghan, and Archie rejoin in Canada

After the news of break up from official British royal family duties between Harry and Meghan, Prince Harry arrived in Canada to rejoin with Meghan and Archie.

On Tuesday 21st of January, Harry was seen walking off a plane in Vancouver Island, where they were in the Christmas period.

Be reminded that Harry which is The Duke of Sussex met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the UK-Africa Investment Summit in London on Monday the 20th of January. They both spent the Christmas holiday with Doria Ragland ‘Duchess Mother’.

The couple once claimed that they have a strong connection to Canada because Meghan lived in Canada for seven years.

The discussion on who will pay the cost of Harry and Meghan‘s security detail is ongoing as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said last week.

Harry and Meghan agreed to give up their royal titles and put end to their official duties and this made Prince Harry depart from the UK following the turbulent period.

It was a shocking moment to the world when the couple announced on Instagram on January 8 that they were stepping down from their royal duties and the Queen announced a transition period had been agreed to come up on Saturday.

The monarch said in a statement that the conversations with the pair had been going on for months.

“I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family,” read the statement.

It is to be noted that under the terms of the deal, Queen will no longer be represented by Harry and Meghan as working royals due to their moves which was announced, splitting their time between the UK and North America as they work toward becoming financially independent.

Also, both Harry and Meghan will no longer use their royal titles “His and Her Royal Highness”

They have been approved and announced by Buckingham Palace to be called as “Harry, Duke of Sussex” and “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.”

Although it is a move which the queen shouldn’t have taken because it’s entirely unequaled for a monarch to let her grandchild drop her title, the call for the separation was seriously uncalled for but given the prospect of the Sussexes signing commercial deals in the future, the need to separate their ventures from the royal household was pressing.

This has once happened in the past with Sarah Ferguson now known as “Sarah, Duchess of York” after she and Prince Andrew got divorced in 1996.            

Harry took Sunday to express the great sadness about the development at a charity event in London.

He said in his speech that “Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding,”  “Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible.”

He let the public know that the decision is not what he just made so simple but he has taken his time to think of it and that is his conclusion. He made it clear that he loves the UK and the UK is his home and that will never change.
