Ed Sheeran and His Wife, Cherry Seaborn Announce the Birth of Their First Child

The famous English singer, Ed Sheeran has announced the birth of his first child with his wife, Cheery Season.

According to Sheeran Instagram page on Tuesday, the couple’s daughter named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran, was born last week.

“We are completely in love with her. Both mum and baby are doing amazing, and we are on cloud nine over here,” Ed Sheeran said.

“We hope that you can respect our privacy at this time,” he added. Lots of love, and I’ll see you when it’s time to come back.”

Ed Sheeran released his debut album + ( pronounced “plus”) in 2011 after signing with Asylum Records and topped the UK Albums Chart. His second album was released in 2014 × (pronounced “multiply”), his second album was named the second-best-selling album worldwide of 2015. In the same year, × won Album of the Year at the 2015 Brit Awards, and he received the Ivor Novello Award for Songwriter of the Year from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors. 

His third album was released in 2017 ÷ (pronounced “divide”), and was the best-selling album worldwide of 2017.

Sheeran has sold more than 150 million records worldwide, making him one of the world’s best-selling music artists. 

Sheeran’s most recent album “No. 6 Collaborations Project” was released in 2019, becoming the second fastest-selling album in 2019, according to the Official UK Charts Company.

Furthermore, the songwriter and record producer met his wife when he was in school at age 11. They met again in the summer of 2015, and they were in a relationship. He proposed in December 2017, and they got married in January 2019. 

The couple shoots their first music video together for Ed Sheeran’s single “Put It ALL on Me,” where they were seen dancing and cuddling.

A caption explained Sheeran and Seaborn’s love story. It read: “Back in high school, Ed and Cherry were crushing hard.”

“They made out at the castle on the hill,” the caption continued. “A few years ago they reconnected, there were fireworks. They married in January 2019.”

Ed Sheeran talked about the massive crowd during his tour all around the world.

He said, “Glastonbury, Wembley Stadium. All these amazing venues, America, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, South America — it’s been a wild one, I was told before I came on that now, at the end of this tour, I’ve played to nine million people around the world. It is the biggest tour ever.”
