The whole world is tired of the COVID-19 and very eager to return to their normal life. Normal life is coming with the next winter, sparking up the little gloomy light of hope that remains with the world.
What’s more exciting and at the same time brings relief to the soul than the statement that finds its way out of the BioNTech co-founder, Prof Ugur Sahin, that the poke could halve transmission of the virus, which will result in a stunning reduction of the cases.
Last week, BioNTech and co-developers of Pfizer vaccine said Preliminary analysis reveals that their vaccine could prevent more than 90% of people from getting COVID-19. About 43000 people took part in the test.
Don’t you think this is good news worth sharing with your loved ones to ease their fears and bring comfort and hope about the Covid-19 era?
At the run of his interview on BBC One’s Andrew Marr BBC, he said, further analysis is expected to prove that the vaccine would reduce transmission between people as well as stop symptoms developing in someone who has had the vaccine making it possible for everybody to get back to their normal life.
How close are we to the vaccine? Will the vaccine reach my town?
If everything goes on well, he said, the vaccine delivery will start at the “end of the year,” or the beginning of next year.
He adds that over 300 million doses will be delivered worldwide, making it easier for the vaccine to make an impact. “Summer will help us because the infection rate will go down in the summer, and what is essential is that we get a high vaccination rate until or before winter next year.” He stressed that next winter would hopefully bring us to our normal life and the end of the COVID-19 era.
He was asked if the vaccine was as effective in older people as it is in younger people. He answered that, by the next three weeks, he is expected to have a better idea.
Sahin also said the ” main side effects” of the vaccine observed so far were mild to moderate pain in the injection site for a few days, and few others complained about similar fever.” However, it is said to depend on the individual immune system.
No cause for alarm, the next winter is said to be coming with a normal life, and the COVID-19 era will meet its end.
