
COVID-19 is a deadly type of virus that has recently found its way around the globe, infecting thousands of people, and several death cases have been recorded in the most affected countries.
However, a virus is a small infectious agent that relies on cells of other organisms to survive, which is made up of either DNA or RNA molecule, that infects and affects living things, most notably humans.
The newly identified type of virus, COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease, which emerged from Wuhan, China in December 2019.
The current pandemic is contagious and easily transferred from one person to another person through droplets from coughs and sneezes. This virus has been discovered in several people all around the world, and the outbreak has caused several death cases. Few out of those affected are;
- British actor Idris Elba and his wife, Sabrina Dhowre: The actor announced his diagnosis via social media on the 17th of March. Idris Elba was diagnosed and quarantined in New Mexico, where he was preparing for the movie “The harder They Fall”.

- Hollywood actor Tom Hanks and his wife, actress and singer Rita Wilson: The 63 years old actor and his wife got diagnosed with coronavirus in Australia on a set for a yet-untitled Elvin movie.

- Rudy Gobert ” NBA Player”: The Utah Jazz All-Star was also diagnosed with the virus, and later, he said he wished he had taken the virus issue more severe and urged everyone to be cautious of the virus. He, however, donated more than $500,000 to assist people affected by the illness.

- Detroit Priston Player, Christian Wood: The 24 years old NBA player was tested positive for COVID-19 on the 14th of March.
