Cardi B ‘Gained Weight’ In Face & Body, Showing It Clocks Her 15 Million Views Overnight

Cardi B is keeping it real. The 27-year-old rapper whose candid YouTube chronicling of her former stripper days saw her infectious personality go viral overnight is back at it – being honest, that is, not stripping. The “Money Bag” rapper recently fronted media outlets for admitting that she’s put on weight during quarantine.

“I’ve definitely gained weight on my face, and on my whole body, but on my face,” Cardi said on her Instagram stories.

Cardi showing off her sucked-in gut – and how it looks not so sucked-in – has now clocked the fiesty Latina over 15 million views overnight. Cardi, who has 66.1 million Instagram followers that include 100,000 new followers since Memorial Day weekend, posted a video of herself last night. It showed the mom to 22-month-old Kulture parading around her home in a skimpy bikini with a black skirt shimmying off her. Cardi clasped her chest as she walked runway-style in sky-high stiletto heels before posing in profile – the “Invasion of Privacy” rapper then bravely let her stomach hang loose.

“Suck it in life” was the caption – and it hasn’t been the only mention of shape on Cardi’s IG of late. A stunning swimwear snap of the rapper kneeling on submerged white loungers came captioned:

“I suck the sh*t out my stomach for this pic so appreciated.”

The poolside photo has racked up over 3.9 million likes, plus celebrity likes from stars including rapper Chanel West Coast, Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey, and supermodel Emily Ratajkowski. Views were through the roof to Cardi’s brave bikini video, though, with the view count currently sitting at 15.1 million.

Comments literally saw IG going nuts. “Lmfaoo this be me on the regular,” one fan wrote.

“Me everyday, you still fine AF” was another comment.

“CORONAAAAAAAAAAAAA VIRUS…PUDGE is getting REAL” was a reply racking up over 800 likes – body-shaming in nature the words might seem at first glance, but the response was a clear reference to Cardi’s now-viral “Coronavirus Sh*t Is Getting Real” rant, since remixed by DJ iMarkkeyz for an iTunes chart-entered hit.

Cardi has been making headlines amid the global pandemic, both for her support of the coronavirus relief effort and, more recently, for teasing new music, again with mentions of her weight.

“My single is coming when I lose weight. Never!” Nah, it’s coming real soon, I swear. And ya’ll gon’ love it,”she said.

Cardi is in lock-down with 2018-born daughter Kulture, plus husband and Migos rapper Offset. Instagram updates from the Fashion Nova face have, indeed, shown plenty of food, with Memorial Day weekend seeing Cardi show off mouth-watering ribs, plus footage of her tucking into a giant tub of Breyer’s ice-cream. Last night’s video also showed her giant floral back tattoo, something that she revealed to have been working on “for months” – her tattoo artist confirmed the inking took “over 60 hours.”

“Okay guys! Soooo here it is! It took me several months but I’m finally finished. This is my back tattoo! It goes from the top of my back to the middle of my thigh,”she wrote.

Meanwhile, Jamie Schene, responsible for the tattoo, wrote:  “60+ hours, more than 10 cities, it was an awesome project and a crazy experience. Thanks for the dedication, strength, and hospitality.”
