Britney Spears has Instagram worried again – not so much that she might be experiencing mental health troubles, but more that her 2008-commenced conservatorship is seeing her, in some way, controlled. The 38-year-old pop icon has sparked a massive resurgence of the #FreeBritney movement this summer, with fans actually rallying as the singer was due to appear in court on July 22. Britney was a no-show to the Zoom-held court date, with “technical issues” cited behind the “Toxic” singer’s absence.
For Britney’s fans, it’s all gotten super-suspicious. The singer’s repetitive Instagram updates continue to have her 25.8 million followers worried that she is unsafe. In fact, a fair few users are now convinced that Britney has no access to her account whatsoever.
The sentiment was alive and well as Britney updated her account showing off stunning henna body art that she admitted she might have taken a bit too far. Monday saw the mom of two update with a sizzling snakeskin bikini shot as she posed against a yellow wall and showing off white henna covering her body. A quick swipe to the right showed the singer posing in the tan shorts that have so often been seen on her Instagram. A caption read:
“So I got carried away with henna !!!! I think I’m going for a bohemian look in the second picture …. not sure what my hands on my hips are about 😂😜🤣!!! I guess I’m demanding attention 🙄🙄🙄 !!!!”
While popular in likes, the post now sees countless users worried that Britney, whose finances and other aspects of her life are controlled by her father, isn’t doing okay. Fans and celebrities have been swamping Spears’ Instagram of late, asking: “Are you ok?” Britney is not responding to the question, although a rare clap-back earlier this month did see her say she was “authentic.”
“Looks like both photos were not taken on the same day. One photo she is wearing nail polish, the other she isn’t. Plus she is more red in the first photo. I think her watch reads 11:00… wouldn’t the henna hurt,” one user wrote.
Meanwhile, others spotted that the “Circus” singer was using the color yellow in her update. Britney has been asked, by the masses, to wear yellow if she is in danger.
Britney’s posts have, throughout 2020, proven repetitive. For many fans, this is somehow indicative of the star not controlling her account. In fact, reports suggest that Spears doesn’t have an email address and that her conservatorship, alongside not permitting her to vote, doesn’t allow her to own a cell phone.
Just today, Spears sparked further worries as she posted a photo of a pink planet in orbit, writing:
“This is the PINK PLANET …. aka GJ 504b … the planet made of pink gas !!!!! It’s even four times more massive than Jupiter !!!!! Can I just go here already 🤣💖🪐🌸 !?!?”
Backers of #FreeBritney now include “Orange Is The New Black” star Ruby Rose, plus “Modern Family” actress Ariel Winter. Those responding to the henna post continued to offer their support, however concerns were marked.
“Wtf have they done to you?!! Its clear someone else is taking these pictures and the plain background is not lost on us…its VERY obvious they dont want to give any evidence of where you actually are being held at this point,” one user wrote.
Britney has been posting videos. However, with content seeing the star reveal her favorite foods (chili dogs), vacation spots (Hawaii and Turks & Caicos) and Disney movie (“Frozen”), fans continue to yearn for an answer to their most-asked question. Is the singer okay.
