Britney Spears Shows Instagram V. Reality While Trying To Change A Light

Britney Spears just gave her 26.5 million Instagram followers a giant insight into her life, Instagram vs. reality style. The “Toxic” singer updated her account on Monday with three photos that showed a similar and familiar setting – Britney was in her L.A. home, although the repetitive backdrops and wardrobes that have sparked concern this year were nowhere to be seen.

The photos showed the Grammy winner standing in a brightly-lit room and near a ladder. The 38-year-old was wearing a cute, tight pair of cropped jeans, plus a plaid shirt. A simple finish of glasses and messy blonde hair completed the look as Spears posed either relaxed and realistically, or a little more enthusiastically and smiling with hip-placed hands.

Britney’s caption, which covered everything from an admission to feeling vulnerable when being photographed, to revealing her high school sports, opened:

“Instagram versus Reality !!!! I wanted to show you what I really look like on a daily basis 🤓 !!!!” with Britney then getting honest as she wrote:

“I can get insecure when photos are taken of me that I’m not prepared for ….. so I have always put so much effort into my appearance … but you know sometimes it’s nice to not try so hard and pull down your walls every now and then !!!!”

Britney, whose 2020 has been a struggle with her legal battles as dad Jamie Spears continues to control her finances, continued with an upbeat vibe. The star who recently announced her repetitive posts are part of photography project “Project Rose,” continued:

Britney will bring in the comments. As 68-year-old dad controls the singer’s finances and fans continue to deem her Instagram a setup, comments have taken on a predictable feel. Some #FreeBritney supporters are even prepared to accuse the photos of being fake. All this despite Britney repeatedly clapping back, calling herself “authentic,” and promising that none of her posts are more than a month old.

“Am i the only one who thinks this is NOT Britney!?!?” one fan asked, with another exclaiming: “THAT IS NOT BRITNEY!”

Britney has largely been appearing shot against red, yellow, or white walls this year, also featuring in outdoor images and videos from her backyard. The repetitive feel was recently addressed by the singer herself as she told fans that yes, she’d “worn the same top 17 times,” then explaining “Project Rose.” More recently, Britney has been featuring boyfriend Sam Asghari on her IG, with the singer sharing Hawaii throwback footage that even included her private jet kick-off.
