Britney Spears Sparks Psychological Panic Speaking In A British Accent

Britney Spears has sparked a wave of psychological panic over on her social media. The 38-year-old pop star took to Instagram on Wednesday with a series of posts that included throwback beach moments from her 2019 Hawaii travels, also including a bizarre video of herself speaking into the camera with what appeared to be a British accent.

Britney’s video was a selfie. It showed the “Toxic” singer enjoying Maui’s birdsong – the background tweeting was audible – with Britney herself seen addressing her fans in a green-and-white print sundress and straw hat.

“Right now, I’m in Maui,” Britney began, adding: “And I hear thousands of birds. Check this out.” The star then swung her camera towards treetops, then back to herself as she shouted: “THEY’RE SO LOUD!”

Britney is, of course, known to have used a British accent in the past. Back in the day, when the star was facing issues with the paparazzi ahead of her involuntary psychiatric hold in a Los Angeles facility, she spoke using a British accent.

While the video itself clocked over 1.2 million views in six hours (and brought in plenty of love), it likewise saw a large wave of concern sparked. Fans were querying the singer’s mental stability – Britney suffers from bipolar disorder.

“The clone is malfunctioning again,” one fan wrote. While the comment appeared to be harshly put and somewhat trolling, it nonetheless voiced a sentiment that appeared agreed on – over 1,400 users liked the comment.

“Her voice sounds so different than it used to,” another popular comment read.

“I love you I really do, but what’s up today?” a concerned fan asked. The comment likely pertains to the string of videos Britney shared in one day – first came a video of Britney showing her foot cast as she thanked fans for their kind letters (Britney broke her leg while dancing recently). Next, came the bird video, with it being followed by both a Hawaii beach bikini video and one of the singer actually breaking her foot – Spears also included photos of herself in Hawaii and outside a church there.

Concerned comments continued.

“Is it me or this is the most run-down Britney has looked in years,” a fan asked.

“What is wrong with her voice,” another said.

Britney has sparked concern over her mental health on multiple occasions of late. The star was dubbed “disheveled” as she posed in a snakeskin bikini back in January, with 2019 also seeing fans concerned over a possible manic episode as the singer worked out in her home. Then again, photos of Britney horseback riding with boyfriend Sam Asghari this year have seen fans think she looked her most authentic ever.

Britney has opened up about her mental health – and about social media. Speaking to The Independent about her bipolar disorder, the star stated:

“When I first started out I didn’t care what anyone thought of me, I was just happy to be there… then I started to realize there are a lot of mean things out there on the Internet.”

“I have always been kind of shy, since I was a little girl. It’s who I am to be modest, so I really can’t help it. I turn into this different person…seriously, bipolar disorder,” she added.
