
Amidst Brexit deals, BBC reported that Dominic Raab said it was likely the post-Brexit talks witness the last real major week and it’s likely both parties reach an agreement if the EU shows pragmatism.
He maintained that the Brexit talks now relied on concluding on a fairly narrow set of issues, which includes fishing rights.
It was said that negotiations are in haste to strike a deal, with a hovering deadline in four weeks.
As of last week, discussions was held via-video link, following the chief EU negotiator Michael Barnier Colleague’s positive Covid-19 test last week.
Michael Barnier left self-isolation and face to face discussion are bound to resume in London. He is already in the UK for a face-to-face discussion.

The UK post-Brexit transition period ends on 31st December, and both sides are tussling to hit an agreement to govern their trading relationship.

The famous BBC’s Andrew Marr program get the foreign secretary ‘Dominic Raab’ speaking and giving us details Brexit trade deals.
Mr Rabb said, “We’re down to two basic issues, but I think in particular the issue around fisheries.”
He continued, “I do think this is a very significant week, the last real major week, subject to any further postponement of the goalposts in term of timing.”
He further explained that a proposal was subject to the EU agreeing with the ‘point of principle’ that the UK would require control over its fishing grounds after the transition.
Adding to his words, He said “if the EU understand that point of principle and we have some pragmatism, we can get there. We ought to be on both sides to resolve fisheries if you take the context of the wider economic gains, and potential downsides and not having a further deal. “
What’s making the Brexit deal difficult?
The Frenchman analyze that the most difficult areas are the post-Brexit competition rules, and having a deal would be enforced. As the two sides will not stop their bickerings on how many permits European boats should have to British waters, and what would be their degree of allowance as from next year.
The two parties are at loggerheads over how nearly the UK should have followed the EU social labour, and environment standard after the transition.
What’s up as the transition deadline soars?
The UK exits the EU on 31st January, but it is continuing to obey the bloc rules until the year ends as part of an 11-month transition period.
Trading between the UK and the EU will default to the World Trade Organizations’ rules if a trade deal is not agreed upon by the end of the year.
They can keep negotiating if they want after this, but import taxes would be added on goods traded between them.
The UK would be denied permits to the EU’s energy market and no agreement on police and judicial cooperation.
