It is perceived that there will be a conclusion before Christmas, which will clearly show the next phase post-Brexit talks are heading either positively or negatively.

One of the core issues to be finalized is the fishing rights, both the European Union (EU) and the United Kingdom (UK) have been recently engaging in talks about how many years it will take before the new fisheries arrangement is staged.

The EU’s top negotiator, Michael Barnier insisted that for any deal to be agreed on, it must be balanced and reciprocal.

According to veritable UK government sources, the post-Brexit deal negotiations are required to continue on Monday.

Michael Barnier, EU chief negotiator tweeted on Sunday, ” the talks were at a crucial moment, and the two sides were working hard to try to narrow their differences.”

“We respect the sovereignty of the UK, and we expect the same.” He tweeted. “Both the EU and Britain must have the right to set their laws and control their waters, and we should both be able to act when our interest is at stake.”

Information getting to the public from the Whitehall sources explains that it is highly likely that the UK will put off its post-Brexit transition period without a free trade agreement with the EU.

It might result in the EU and UK relying on World Trade Organization (WTO) rules that govern exports and imports of goods and commodities from the first of January.

The rules will bring about tariffs and goods exported and imported, which will rightfully result in rising prices of some products.

As reported, a government source told the BBC that the EU was still struggling to get the flexibility needed from member states to make a post-Brexit deal feasible.

Both sides are trying to get the deal right based on terms that respect what the British people voted for.

The EU and the UK are struggling and proceeding with every feasible way to a post-Brexit agreement. Still, without a substantial shift from the EU, the UK announces that they will be starting on World Trade Organization terms as from the thirty-first of December.

“We are ready,” Health Secretary Matt Hancock said “A post-Brexit trade deal was in both side’s good interests regarding all the problems that are going on the continent as well as here with Covid, but the EU needed to make a shift.”

The EU’s chief negotiator, Michel Barnier, said it was “the moment of truth” for the talks

During his interview with the BBC’s Andrew Marr, he said he hopes the European Union shift ground on its outrageous demands and that he doesn’t think anybody could reasonably approve the proposed EU deal. Hopefully, if they change basis, he said a trade deal can be easily accessible.

“But we are ready, whatever necessary” Boris Johnson, the UK prime minister has pledged to keep the post-Brexit trade talks going but explained that gaps are not bridged yet.
