The UK prime minister, Boris Johnson made it known; he will continue to direct the government affairs, as the symptoms of the virus are mild.
Boris Johnson was the Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018, and Former Mayor of London served between 2008 to 2016, in the United Kingdom.
The fifty-five aged man, who was birthed in New York and has been the Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019, and is currently serving as The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.
The current pandemic has affected lots of countries and people all around the world. Johnson, however, “By some distance, became the most important world leader to have been tested positive to coronavirus,” said Al Jazeera’s Lawrence Lee.
The Prime Minister announced on his social media page, how he developed mild symptoms and was tested positive for coronavirus. He said, “I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video conference as we fight this virus.”

A spokesman in his words said, the prime minister, perhaps have contacted the virus from the chamber of the House of Commons, where he attended the prime minster’s weekly question time.
In a mail sent to broadcasters, the spokesman said, the prime minister was tested based on the personal advice from England’s Chief Medical Officer, Professor Chris Whitty. However, following orders, Boris Johnson has remained on self-isolation in Downing street.
Before the viral outbreak of the virus, the United kingdom handled the pandemic differently from other countries in Europe. Boris Johnson said, he would not stop to shake hands with people, even in a hospital filled with coronavirus infected patients. This action exposed the UK to the outbreak and rapid spread of the virus, which made the country placed under a state of near-lockdown.
It is quite expected and not surprising how the UK prime minister got tested positive for coronavirus, with his regular contact and exposure to several people diagnosed with coronavirus.
The Health Secretary, Matt Hancock, made Boris Johnson’s diagnosis known after his test for coronavirus. Fortunately for him, the symptoms are mild, enabling him to get through a two-minute video on twitter without coughing once, compared to an uncontrollable cough given as symptom of the virus. This, however, would further help him carry on his services as the prime minister.
Moreover, governments are holding meetings via video conference nowadays. So, this is not going to be any different.
