An English professional boxer named Billy Joe Saunders, had his boxing license suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control “BBBofC.”

The Middleweight champion, Billy Joe, was given birth to at Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, England on 30th August 1989. The 30 years old boxer is a two-times world champion in two weight classes, including the WBO super-middleweight title since May 2019 and the WBO middleweight title from 2015 to 2018. He is 5 ft 11 (180 cm) in height and 70 1⁄2 (179 cm) in reach.
However, the British Boxing Board of Control suspended Billy’s boxing license after releasing a video that supports domestic violence. Billy, in the video, displayed to men how to beat their woman during the quarantine period caused by the outbreak of coronavirus.
Saunders explained to men, how to hit their woman on her chin, when she speaks back to them, illustrating it on a punching bag.

Before this, the English boxer was fined £100,000 in September 2018 after a video leaked of him asking a woman to perform a sex act on him for £150 worth of drugs.
Saunders was guilty of another offense after his license was almost stripped entirely due to the last crime he committed. Billy Saunders, however, was found blameworthy of leading the sport into shame and therefore was issued a severe warning.
Moreover, Billy Joe, the undefeated champion in 29 pro fights is preparing for a fight with the multiple-weight world champion, Canelo Alvarez. The fight, which was expected to be announced last month, is now delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak, which could also delay decisions about to be made on Saunders’ future for some time.
Saunders pleaded with his fans and the Board on social media for the video and intended to donate £25,000 to a domestic violence charity. In his words, he said, ‘First of all, I’ve apologized on social media, and I just want to say sorry again for everyone I’ve offended,’
Furthermore, Billy Joe told TalkSport, ‘I looked at it as a bit of a joke. I wasn’t thinking right, but looking back at it now. I can see the destruction it has caused among the women suffering from domestic violence.
In addition to Billy Joe’s words on his Instagram page, he said: Let me firstly start by apologizing. There is no excuse for my actions. It was a very, very, very bad out of taste joke. I am a God-fearing man, and I do not condone domestic violence under any circumstances.
When I created the video in poor taste, I never considered how people might interpret it. Instead, I was trying to make light of the very stressful situation we have all found ourselves in and the heightened emotions of families confined to each other’s company.
It did not cross my mind about the actual reality of domestic violence and its sufferers, and the second I realized it could cause any upset I quickly took the video down, but unfortunately, with the way social media works, it spread like wildfire.
I can’t change that, I have and do wholeheartedly apologize. I can only take action to help people. I will be donating my next fight purse to a British domestic violence charity to help victims and prevent future victims of domestic abuse.
I will also host some self-defense workshops and seminars for survivors and current or potential sufferers of domestic violence. Unfortunately, I can’t take the video back.
I can do my bit to help people who suffer or have suffered and become part of the public voice to prevent domestic violence and change future generation’s attitudes, and that’s what I am committed to doing.
