Ayesha Curry has now clocked herself over 1.8 million views for a video that saw Instagram absolutely losing it over a bit of a butt wipe. The 31-year-old cookbook author, TV host, and wife to Golden State Warriors player Steph Curry updated her Instagram in late June with a promotional video for Bounty paper towels. While a roll of the sturdy household favorite was used as Ayesha prepped her “spice grilled salmon with charred onion and mango salad,” it wasn’t put to full use – as you’ll see, the “Family Food Fight” host snuck in a cheeky hand wipe on her jeans.

It’s all her Instagram followers can talk about.

The video – likely earning Ayesha some cash – started out straightforward, with the star basically telling British chef Gordon Ramsay that he’d met his match as she said: “I see your turkey burger.” Ayesha then got her hands messy and sticky while handling the raw salmon as she stood in an outdoor grill area and in front of one. The winner moment for the star’s followers came as she patted the salmon with a Bounty towel, then wiping her hands on her denim-clad rear.

The caption was less of a focal point for Ayesha’s fans, reading: “Celebrating perfect grilling weather with one of my favorite recipes – spice grilled salmon with charred onion and mango salad. Might look a bit messy, but the #QuickerPickerUpper is the perfect sidekick. I’ve topped @gordongram with this. 😆@carlaphall, it’s your move! @bountypapertowels #BountyPartner.”

The replies said it all.

“Looks great! You have Bounty wipes and still managed to wipe your hands on your jeans! 🤷🏽‍♀️🙃🤣,” one fan wrote, with over 100 others agreeing.

“Paper towels and you clean your hands on your jeans after you season your salmon…Just saying!!! Where is your apron?” another said, with another fan simply writing: “The wipe for me.”

Ayesha actually responded, and very honestly, to one of the comments. Check it out after the video.

The fan telling Ayesha it “looks great” but that she “still managed to wipe your hands on your jeans” got themselves a response. Ayesha swooped in to say: “No just a nervous habit…I touch my butt when I’m looking for things and when I get nervous LOL.”

As to how much Ayesha might have earned, her following of 7.3 million places her in a position to earn some serious cash. The star, who has also delivered a paid promo for Play-Doh in 2020, had announced the “paid partnership” in her caption. Experts over at Vox have suggested potential earning estimates for social media influencers.

“Influencers with up to 1 million followers can get $10,000 [per post], depending on the platform, and 1 million followers and up, you’re getting into territory where they can charge $100,000. Some can even get $250,000 for a post!”

Ayesha has been making headlines for monetary reasons this year – and not necessarily ones that are putting a smile on her face. The star fronted media outlets earlier this year for being slapped with a $10 million lawsuit by the Flutie Entertainment branding company she once had a deal with – Flutie is claiming that its ideas helped formed the star’s lucrative career, with Ayesha ending her dealings with them in 2019. Elsewhere, the star has made headlines for launching her “Sweet July” lifestyle magazine, turning 31 in quarantine, and sharing her stunning family life with NBA star husband Steph and the couple’s three kids.
